Alexa and the Old Fashioneds

Aptly named after singer Alexa Lash’s cherished drink and nostalgic spirit, Alexa & the Old-Fashioneds are a woman-led project hailing from Miami. The four-piece band masterfully blend pop, rock, soul and spoken word. Their distinctive sound features deeply personal lyrics, intricate melodic solos and an unshakable rhythm section, all grounded in songs crafted by Lash, whom Miami New Times named Best Songwriter of 2024. Lash’s evocative music navigates the depths of love and heartbreak one compelling melody at a time. Her powerful voice has drawn comparisons to Florence Welch, Adele, Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin, while her musical influences span from the brightness of Broadway musicals to the dark, edgy lyrical prowess of artists such as Alanis Morissette. The concert will feature the band’s greatest hits and guest performers—violinist Belinda Stohner and cellist Jose Pradas—who will join them for songs from the album Heartbreak in Movements and never-before-heard material.
