Kitty Hawk

An uplifting story of ingenuity and perseverance takes the stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Kitty Hawk, part of the Arsht Impact series, will be performed on Saturday, October 4. This original musical follows the Wright brothers and their sister Katherine Wright from their hometown of Dayton, Ohio, to the sandy shores of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, as they chase the once-impossible dream of human flight. With determination, teamwork and unshakable vision, their journey transforms aviation history and celebrates the bonds of family and the spirit of innovation. Commissioned by the Arsht Center in 2017 as part of its Learning Through the Arts program, Kitty Hawk offers audiences an inspiring blend of history and artistry.
